Conditional Tag on Rules
Learn how conditional rule tags work, find out how to create them and where they are used.
Key Points: Conditional Tag on Rules
1. When conditional tag appears
The conditional tag within the rule editors appears when a pricing element will be low or default VAT based on a condition.

2. Create a conditional VAT rule
Insert a Boolean value into the subject to low VAT (1 or 0) box within the rule. Ensure the condition is set up so the low VAT rule will trigger when the rule is true.
For example, for low VAT rule to trigger for residential customers only, not businesses, is_customer_human and NOT is_customer_organisation

3. Using a conditional VAT rule
A conditional VAT rule might be used, for example, for draughtproofing a homeowner's windows.
Draughtproofing is often subject to low VAT due to government grants. However in most cases this only applies to residential users so businesses would need to be excluded.
Using the Boolean variable is_customer_human allows the low VAT to trigger only when the main contact for the lead is tagged as a human, not as an organisation.
