Subdomains and Suborganisations
Find out how to access a version of an organisation's integrate system to produce quotes with different branding.
Key Points: Subdomains and Suborganisations
1. Subdomains
A subdomain allows a user to grant another organisation access to a version of the user's integrate system, to produce quotes with different branding. This is useful where:
Multiple brands are operated, for example, residential and commercial brands
Have agents or re-sellers for products
Have multiple manufacturing sites
2. Accessing a subdomain
A subdomain is accessed through a modified version of an organisation's integrate system URL.
For example, if the organisation's integrate URL iss examplejoinery.work, a subdomain for the commercial division might look like comm.examplejoinery.work.
3. Subdomain users
Users can be restricted so they can only log in through a specific subdomain.
4. Subdomain features
Subdomains can have a different selection of features enabled compared to the main domain.
5. Setting up a subdomain
Please contact EndtoEnd with your requirements at support@endtoendit.com. Depending on the type of suborganisation and the requirements, there may be a fee for implementation, plus additional monthly charges for any extra users added.
6. Subdomain Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the layout and branding will be completely different. A subdomain will have its own logo on the login screen, and the quote PDF will be customisable separately from the main organisation.
Can a subdomain have its own pricing?Yes, separate pricing rules can be configured for each subdomain. The system will decide which rules to apply based on which subdomain the user is currently logged in to.
Can the margin (R number) available to agents on the quote matrix be restricted?
Yes.
Drawing templates can be shared with the main organisation or set up independently.
What about email templates? As with drawing templates, email templates are shared with the main organisation by default, but subdomains can be configured to use on their own.
The subdomain will not need all the features that the main domain has. Will these still have to be paid for?No, the subdomain can have reduced features..
The suborganisation isn't VAT registered, can this be accommodated?Yes, a subdomain can be configured with different VAT settings from the main domain.
Do subdomains have a separate lead list?User access determines which leads are visible to each person. A user with access to all leads will be able to see leads belonging to all subdomains in their lead list. Leads can be filtered by organisation. Users with restricted access will only be able to see their own subdomain's leads in their lead list.
Will a separate user account be needed for each subdomain? No, it's possible to log in to all domains with a single account, although only one user can log in at any one time, unless a different email account is used for each subdomain (see below).
Can a different email account be connected to the subdomain?
Yes. It is even possible to have a Microsoft email account for one organisation and a Google account for another. However, in this case, it will be necessary to set up separate user accounts for the subdomain.
No, it's not currently possible to have separate ranges for a subdomain.
Can a subdomain have a separate list of glass options or hardware? No, since the part list is shared by all organisations. However, a validation can be set up to prevent certain parts from being used on a particular subdomain.
Can subdomains be used for managing production across separate sites?Yes: subdomains can be set up as factories. Jobs in the production schedule are assigned to a particular factory, and each factory can view a filtered list of its own jobs.
