Timber cutting list merge tollerance

explaining merge tolerance, what it does and where to configure it.

Merge tolerance controls when two similar timber parts are treated as the same part and combined into a single item with a larger quantity.

For example, imagine you have two parts that are almost identical, but their lengths differ by only a few millimetres. You may find it simpler to list them as the same size, then trim or finish them to the exact dimensions later.

This can make manufacturing and machine orders easier to manage.

However, if you need a high level of accuracy (down to one tenth of a millimetre) you can set the merge tolerance to zero point one millimetres. This will effectively mean that only parts with the same dimensions are merged.

To configure This setting go to The settings page in the survey group and then select the timber cutting list from the option on the left side of the screen.

Here you will find Final length merge tolerance  with a brief description of how it can be used.
